Was the American Revolution Justified or Not Justified?
In my opinion, I believe the American Revolution was completely justified. I say this because the 13 colonies had a clear reason to revolt against the British. For example, the Americans did not have the same civil rights as an Englishmen, but felt that they deserved equal rights and treatment. As well, the Americans not only guaranteed their independence from Great Britain, but they were given more territory east of the Mississippi river between Canada and Florida. Colonists did not agree with the newly started charge tax on all imported goods and they decided not to be a part of it. This was very frustrating for the British, so they took away the colonists other rights. Basically, it was the taxation without representation that pushed the colonists to do something about their unfair treatment. This resulted in the outbreak of the American Revolutionary war. They had a completely just reason.
